What makes AU Small Finance Bank's lineup distinctive.
AU Small Finance Bank is the largest small finance bank in India by credit-card issuance and the only SFB with a full retail-card lineup comparable to the mid-tier private banks. The active stack has seven mainstream SKUs — Zenith+ at the top (₹4,999), Vetta (₹2,999), Altura Plus (₹499), Altura (₹199), ixigo (lifetime-free), LIT (lifetime-free with feature packs) and Spont (invite-only) — plus a discontinued Zenith non-plus variant still held by existing cardholders.
The architecture is deliberately flat. There is no premium metal card, no invite-only pinnacle above Zenith+ and no meaningful co-brand bench beyond the ixigo travel partnership. Accelerated earn rates cap at 2 points per ₹100 (2%) and base at 1 point per ₹100 (1%) across the mainstream rewards lineup — the lowest accelerated-category ceiling of any issuer profiled here. AU positions the cards against the entry and mid tiers of HDFC, ICICI and SBI rather than competing with Infinia, Emeralde or Aurum at the top.
AU Rewardz Points are valued at roughly ₹0.25 per point through the rewards catalogue in our calc engine, since AU does not publish a flat conversion rate the way Standard Chartered or IndusInd do. That assumed ratio is why Zenith+'s 2× headline on travel and dining works out to roughly 0.5% in cash-equivalent value — materially below what HDFC SmartBuy or ICICI iShop deliver on equivalent spend. The card's economics are weighted toward the ₹5,000 welcome voucher, the Priority Pass lounge allowance and the complimentary Taj Epicure or similar perks rather than toward recurring rewards.
LIT is the product that doesn't fit the rest of the ladder. The card is lifetime-free with a 1 point per ₹100 base rate, and cardholders buy 90-day feature packs that toggle 2.5×, 5× or 10× accelerators on chosen categories (dining, grocery, fuel, utilities). It is the only Indian card with à-la-carte accelerator pricing — useful if you can route concentrated spend through a 90-day window (wedding shopping, big-ticket travel) but not a steady-state daily driver. For users who want predictable earn, Zenith+ or Altura Plus are the safer picks in the AU lineup.
