04 ABOUT YES BANK CREDIT CARDS

What makes Yes Bank's lineup distinctive.

Yes Bank's credit-card business was effectively rebuilt in 2024–25 after a multi-year retrenchment following the bank's 2020 reconstruction. The current lineup is narrow — two mainstream consumer cards (Marquee, Reserv) plus the PaisaBazaar-branded PaisaSave at the entry end — and the bank has leaned hardest into Marquee as the re-entry signal into the ₹10,000-fee premium band.

The architecture is deliberately thin. There is no ₹2,000–₹5,000 middle-tier rewards card in the active lineup and the older YES First Exclusive and YES First Preferred products have been wound down. PaisaSave fills the entry slot through the PaisaBazaar partnership; Marquee anchors the top; Reserv sits between them as an invite-only relationship tier. Co-brand bench is minimal by private-bank standards.

YES Rewardz Points carry a sharply bifurcated redemption economy. Flight and hotel bookings through the YES Rewardz portal convert at ₹0.25 per point but are capped at 70% of invoice value — meaning 30% of every booking must be paid in cash or points loaded in a separate category. General vouchers and merchandise redeem at ₹0.10 per point, the lowest catalogue rate among major issuers. The headline Marquee earn rate of 4.5% on online spends (36 points per ₹200) is predicated on hitting the flight-hotel redemption path; on general vouchers the effective rate collapses to 1.8%.

The April 2025 MITC revision tightened excluded categories across both Marquee and PaisaSave — wallet loads, rent payments, government payments and marketing spends now earn zero rewards on all Yes Bank cards. That change aligned Yes Bank with the HDFC and Axis 2024 resets but came later and is still being absorbed by users who routed high-volume rent or utility spend through the cards at launch.
